The LinkedIn toolkit lets agents read the connected member’s profile and create posts (text, link, image, video, or document). Authentication is per-user OAuth. Add it on the agent Toolkits tab. The first use prompts the user to connect LinkedIn if they have not already.

Prerequisites

  • A LinkedIn account the agent should post or read as
  • LinkedIn OAuth configured for your organization (admin)
  • An agent you can edit
  • Users must complete the LinkedIn OAuth connect flow when prompted

Setup

  1. Confirm an admin has configured LinkedIn OAuth (Client ID, Client Secret, redirect URI, scopes).
  2. Open the agent → Toolkits → add LinkedIn.
  3. Save the agent. In Chat, connect LinkedIn when prompted.
  4. @-mention LinkedIn tools for profile or posting tasks.

Use cases

  • Draft and publish a status update from chat
  • Confirm which LinkedIn identity is connected before posting

Tips

  • Posts publish as the connected LinkedIn user — confirm identity before creating a post.
  • Media posts need reachable media according to LinkedIn’s API requirements.
  • Store OAuth via the connect flow — do not put tokens in the personality prompt.
